About Me

My name is Josh, and I am currently a junior at the University of Southern California. My concentration of study is Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science. I work at Illumin, an online Magazine from USC's Viterbi School of Engineering that discusses engineering in everyday life. I am also a part of USC's competition robotics team (USCR). In my free time I enjoy tossing around a frisbee with friends, playing the guitar, and sometimes building this website. The Website

Well, first, I would like to explain a common misconception about the name of this website. The letters 'jav' in JAV Concepts, are actually my intials - most people don't catch on to that. With that said, this website is simply a place where I can explore designing and coding a website. The site is entirely hand-coded by myself, with the exception of Lightbox. Over the past couple years, I have developed a framework that is currently being using in many of my sites. As of January 2008, the site is in it's third iteration. JAV Concepts is hosted on a Fedora box at my home in Pennsylvania and relies heavily on PHP, MySQL, and Apache to serve up these pages.
